Phone Number Extractor

Getting Started

1. Select Country

• Country Dropdown: Choose the country where most of your phone numbers originate

• Custom Option: Select “Custom Country Code” if your numbers aren’t from the predefined countries

• Country Code Input: When using custom, enter the numeric country code (without + sign)

2. Paste Your Data

• Text Area: Paste any text containing phone numbers (emails, documents, spreadsheets, etc.)

• Format Flexibility: The tool will find numbers in various formats (with spaces, dashes, or plain digits)

3. Processing Options

• Remove Duplicates: Toggle this option to automatically filter out duplicate numbers

• Extract Button: Click to process your data (or press Ctrl+Enter in the text area)

Results Section

Overview

• Count Display: Shows total valid numbers found and how many contacts were processed

• Duplicate Counter: Shows how many duplicates were removed (if enabled)

Data Table

The results appear in a sortable, searchable table with these columns:

1. #: Sequence number

2. Original Number: The phone number as it appeared in your input

3. International Format: The properly formatted number (without +) ready for bulk SMS

4. Action: Copy button for individual numbers

Table Features

• Pagination: Navigate through results (5 to All records per page)

• Search: Filter results by any text

• Column Visibility: Show/hide columns

• Export Options:

  • Copy to clipboard

  • Export as CSV, Excel, PDF, or Text file

  • Print the table

Advanced Usage

Supported Countries

The tool has predefined patterns for:

• Ghana (233)

• Nigeria (234)

• Kenya (254)

• South Africa (27)

• United States (1)

• United Kingdom (44)

Custom Country Codes

For other countries:

1. Select “Custom Country Code”

2. Enter the numeric country code (e.g., “33” for France)

3. The tool will accept any valid local number format and convert it

Number Validation Rules

The tool checks:

• Correct length for the selected country

• Valid starting digits

• Proper international conversion

Best Practices

1. Clean Your Data First: Remove obvious non-phone numbers to improve processing speed

2. Verify Custom Codes: Double-check country codes for accuracy

3. Check Duplicates: Always enable duplicate removal for bulk SMS

4. Export Carefully: Choose the right format for your SMS platform

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

1. Numbers Not Detected:

   • Check if the country selection matches your numbers’ origin

   • Verify the numbers follow standard formats for that country

2. Incorrect Formatting:

   • For custom countries, ensure you entered the right country code

   • Some very unusual formats might require manual cleanup first

3. Too Many Results:

   • Use the search/filter to narrow down

   • Export and process in smaller batches

Reset Function

Use the Reset button to clear all inputs and start fresh. This will also clear any previous results.
